Oh. My. God.
Has anyone ever dyed their hair and it went bad? Like now you're
hair is ruined??
I did that last night!
*cries hard*
I have been growing my hair out for a long time, and it's
getting really long... I LOVE it. But then last night I noticed
that my hair was getting darker as I was getting older, and I
thought I would frost it a little to give it back that light
look it used to have. I have blonde hair, so yeah.
Well, I left the frosting crème on a little too long- it was
only 15 minutes! But now my hair is too light!! It's so light
that it looks wrong! Now I have super long hair that is too
light, and there is no way in hell that I'm chopping it off. But
I am so mad at myself for messing with it! I wish now that I had
just left it alone! So now I just don't know what to do with it.
It doesn't look too bad when you're in a dark room, but if I go
out in sunlight... ACK! I suppose I can wear a hat for the next
three years, but then... *sigh*
What to do....

Yesterday I went to Wal-Mart to print up some
pictures that I had on my nifty little flash drive. I will
NEVER do that again. Let
me tell you why.
First of all, there are 4 machines there, three were out of
order. Every time I went there, the picture printing machine was
being used, and I didn't have the time to wait. I suppose I
could have come back later, but I'm not driving 35 miles every
day just to see if the photo machine is not being used. Well,
yesterday I just decided to wait for the machine while this lady
printed up over 100 photos. When she was finally finished,
another lady rudely asked if she could just "quickly print up 40
photos." I looked at her and said, "I only have 15 to print,
please wait your turn."
Second, I FINALLY got to
use this "really cool" machine. I followed the directions on
screen, plugged in my flash drive and waited....and waited...and
waited...and waited...
Next, when my pictures finally showed up on screen, I'm going
through and choosing the best ones and so on. But then when they
were printed in their nice neat 4 x 6, they were AWFUL! They
were cropped BADLY, the colors were way off, my son's red
sweater looked like a red blob - no detail or shading, my head
got chopped off, my hand got chopped off...they were just REALLY
bad, not at all the picture that was taken. Now these pictures
were VERY high resolution- like professional photos here, okay?
Taken with a professional camera with someone who really should
be a photographer. I would have expected much better quality,
especially for this super, terrific, high tech machine that was
going to charge 28 cents per print!
So, needless to say, I will NEVER be using those photo machines
in any store ever again. And I would suggest that if anyone who
wants any of their precious memories to stay in tact, stay away
from those machines.
I walked around the corner and bought myself a new ink cartridge
for my printer - which is what I should have done to begin with. |

Yeah yeah, I know. I've
been neglecting my blog again.
I've been busy. No wait, I've been lazy. No no, I've had other
things on my mind.
Really, I have no excuse except for I just have nothing to say
at the moment. How can I have nothing to say? Actually I have
plenty to say, but then I would end up boring you all to death.
lol
Either that or completely ticking people off because of what I
have to say. So perhaps it is best for me just to keep my mouth
shut for a while. lol
Okay, wait... I just had a thought.
Last night my son and I were watching a National Geographic DVD
on the human footprint. No, stop looking at your foot. It was
about how average people use products and how it affects our
planet. It was quite scary and interesting at the same time. I
found myself saying... "I don't drink 35,000 beer in a life
time. I don't drink beer at all." Or "I read more books than 6
per month! How can someone NOT read?" But the scary part of it
all is, just having this computer to type this rather strange
blog has made a huge impact on the earth. And my cell phone. And
then there is my MP3 player, and my rather old car.... It really
makes one think. So instead of sounding like the "tree hugging
hippy" that I most likely am, I'm not going to tell you what to
do to help save the planet. I'm going to suggest you watch this
DVD and take to heart what it's saying, and then try to make
your footprint a little lighter. The DVD is by National
Geographic and it's called Human Footprint.
Well, that's all I'll say today. I need to wake myself up a
little and get ready to do some Yoga.
